Learn to ring 1

Stuart Huthchieson writes:

I will be arranging peals on each day of February Half Term for any interested ringers to take part in. I would like to encourage the following, in particular:

  • Anyone who is keen to ring their first peal
  • Those who don't get many other chances to ring peals
  • Those who would like the chance to ring a peal of something a little more demanding
  • And of course all our regular supporters who help to support the progress and enjoyment of others

Last year a number of people very kindly undertook to arrange some peals themselves. If anyone would like to do the same (we also need regular organisers throughout the year) please let me know too. It would also be very useful if there were offers of suitable towers that would be available for peals. I will try to arrange a geographical variety so that people don’t have to travel too far.

Last year we scored 6 out of 9 attempts – we will do better this year! We always have a sociable drink after each of the attempts so it is a very convivial week!
