History

A 17th century ring of 5 bells was replaced by 8 bells transferred from Bradley, near Bilston, in 1977. The Bradley bells were cast in 1957 by Taylors of Loughborough, but by 1977 the condition of Bradley church had deteriorated so much that it had to close. A Society team just managed to rescue the bells before the building was demolished. The bells have a very good reputation locally for being melodious and easy-going.

Transport

Very little public transport. On-street parking is available on the green. Please avoid Church Lane.

Facilities

Toilets in a nearby church building.
There are 4 pubs in the village - all good! The ringers usually recommend The Bagot Arms (5 minutes walk towards Uttoxeter - large car park) which does good beer and food too.
